Cepeda Systems & Software Analysis, Inc. (CSSA) recently received formal notification of winning NASA's Agency-Level 2016 Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award in the national Small Business Industry Awards. The company won the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Award earlier in the year, and the center then nominated CSSA for the prestigious agency-level award.
Each year, the national awards program through the NASA Office of Small Business Programs honors companies for outstanding support of NASA and its mission. The four categories of competition include Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year, Small Business Subcontractor of the Year, Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year and Mentor-Protégé Agreement of the Year.
CSSA has provided engineering support to NASA's MSFC for more than a decade, and leads the agency's Flight & Ground Software Division in implementing process improvement solutions. Each NASA center submitted nominations, and CSSA rose to the top once again to earn the highest possible award, the company reported.
