May 1, 2017
The Mida WRS radio transmission touch probing system from Marposs is suited for use on medium- and large-scale 5-axis machines. It features a working frequency of 2.4 GHz, an operating range of 15 m and is designed for immunity to interference.
The touch probing system consists of a transmitter and receiver with a built-in interface. The WRS system is flexible and is available with various types of touch probes for workpiece and tool controls.
It is fully controlled by the machine tool via a PLC command. It has 79 available channels, each with four sub-channels so that it is possible to use four probes on a single application and up to 316 probes in the same plant.
The WRP45 touch probe is suited for use on multi-axis milling machines and work stations and is compatible with the Marposs T25, TT25 and TT30 probe ranges.
The WRP60 touch probe is suited for large-scale work stations and vertical lathes and is compatible with the Marposs T25 probes including extensions.
The WRTS tool control probe can be used on work stations for integrity controls, tool length and diameter measurements including tool wear compensation.
The receiver with integrated inferface WRI is supplied with a four-digit display. Working together with the remote control unit, the system is easy to program and to adjust.
