Wide Variety of Measurement Solutions
May 1, 2017
Quality Vision International (QVI), a vision metrology company, will exhibit a wide variety of advanced metrology solutions at EASTEC 2017. The QVI divisions' latest precision dimensional measurement machines and software will be available for attendee demonstrations.
OGP will exhibit several state-of-the-art precision metrology systems and technologies including the following:
- Fusion 400 large-field-of-view multisensor measurement system that offers automated measurement and maximized throughput. Fusion optics provide two magnifications. Low Mag makes it easy to fit multiple parts into a single 100 mm field-of-view. AutoMeasure analyzes any part and displays its geometry without a programmed measurement routine. With AutoID, previously programmed parts may be placed anywhere on the stage, and Fusion will identify them and their orientation and automatically measure them. High Mag allows up-close measurement of small features. Multiple sensors may be deployed rotationally so full stage travel is measurement-accessible.
- SmartScope Quest 300 advanced-technology large-measurement-volume dimensional measuring system that fits on a benchtop. Quest 300 provides accurate video metrology with its patented TeleStar telecentric 10:1 zoom optics for the highest level of optical performance. Multisensor versatility is a given with Quest, with optional touch probe, TTL interferometric laser, micro-probes and SP25 continuous contact scanning probe. Quest 300 may be preloaded with ZONE3 or ZONE3 Pro 3D CAD-based metrology software or with MeasureMind 3D MultiSensor.
- SmartScope ZIP Advance 250 high performance benchtop dimensional measuring system with advanced sensor capability. ZIP Advance 250 provides a sharp video image, due to its AccuCentric auto-calibrating Zoom 70 lens, high-resolution digital metrology camera and three light sources. Advanced sensor capability is available for specialized measurements, including optional touch probe, off-axis DRS or TeleStar Probe laser, on-axis TTL laser, off-axis Rainbow Probe scanning white light sensor, micro-measuring Feather Probe and SP25 scanning probe. The 0.05 µm XYZ scales and dual X-axis scales are standard, for high-resolution positioning.
- SmartScope Flash 200 benchtop multisensor dimensional measuring system brings designed-in accuracy to your measurement challenges, with its patented "elevating bridge" design that eliminates errors common to other mechanical designs. The Zoom 12 AccuCentric zoom lens autocalibrates with every magnification change. Superb illumination contributes to capturing the best video images, with substage, TTL and oblique-illumination SmartRing LED light providing light from all angles. Available touch probe, SP25 continuous contact scanning probe, on-axis TTL laser and Feather Probe provide multisensor versatility.
- OGP will also exhibit a technology demonstration of a new articulating Multisensor Bundle on a large volume measurement platform. This self-contained cluster can rotate, deploy and bring to bear a number of measurement sensors to a variety of measuring challenges. "The Multisensor Cluster is powered by state-of-the-art QVI ZONE3 3D CAD-based metrology software," said a company spokesperson.
- RAM will exhibit the QVI SNAP 350 large area digital measuring machine. SNAP 350 provides up to a 100 mm field of view with an expansive 350 x 350 mm XY stage travel to automatically measure dimensions of large parts with critical details, or numerous small parts. AutoID automatically recognizes and measures all parts within its measuring area, even multiple different parts. Zoom Anywhere technology lets you zoom in to measure fine details anywhere in the field of view. SNAP 350 offers available motorized 150 mm Z-axis motion with video autofocus, optional touch probe for high accuracy Z-axis measurements and a new DRS off-axis laser option.
- CCP will exhibit its c-vision Video Contour Projector at EASTEC. "c-vision is the ultimate shop floor measuring system," said the spokesperson. "Its rugged design and high load capacity put advanced automatic video measurement capability to work on the shop floor. c-vision features a telecentric dual magnification optical system with advanced digital imaging technology. New vCAD Virtual Chart Gage software that allows direct comparison of parts to CAD files is standard, and fully automatic Measure-X 2-D metrology software is optional.
- CCP will also demonstrate its refurbishment capability, exhibiting a mid-1980s-vintage OGP OQ-20 comparator that has been completely refurbished and brought up-to-date, making it fully functional and able to meet the requirements of today's manufacturing environments. CCP remanufactures a wide variety of makes and models of archival comparators, including those from OGP, Starrett, J&L, Kodak, Ex-Cell-O, Deltronic, GageMaster, Scherr-Tumico, Mitutoyo, Nikon, Suburban Tool, Micro-Vu and many others.
- Itaca will exhibit its high accuracy shop-floor tactile 3-D gauging solution, the FlexGauge T-16. FlexGauge offers an industrialized and rugged alternative to custom gauging products, and is specially tailored to measure small precision parts such as gears, valve bodies, CV joints, racks and ballscrews. With the stability of its granite structure, built-in thermal compensation and air bearing motion, FlexGauge is equally at home on the manufacturing floor or in the QC lab. The T-16 may be configured with single or dual probes, with available touch trigger or continuous contact scanning probe. Flexible embedded metrology software is included.
