Toolroom Lathe with CNC and Manual Use Capabilities to be Featured

Babin Machine Tool has announced the availability of its precision 5C style toolroom lathe with both CNC and manual use capabilities. Model TML-5Cnc features a U.S. made Centroid CNC control for easy conversational programming as well as G-code downloads.
"The high precision Hardinge style 5C lathe is designed for the prototype/ modeling shop environment," said a company spokesperson. Its features include a dovetail bedplate design, electronic hand wheels that allow for manual axes movement and a 3,500 RPM 5 HP spindle EVS drive including electronic braking.
The Centroid CNC control incorporates a 15-inch color touchscreen with graphics, solid-state hard drive, full size keyboard, ethernet and USB connections. Options include tooling, chucks and a high-resolution glass scale feedback for the X-axis cross slide.
