New Series Slim-Line Live Centers

Bruckner Gmbh has added a new Slim-Line series of live centers to its family of live and dead center offerings.
"The new CS and CE series offer the same precision and reliability found in all Bruckner live centers, now with a bearing housing that is 20-30% smaller diameter," said a company spokesperson. They are designed for precision turning and grinding applications. CS series centers have the traditional 60° full centerpoint, while CE models have a female taper nose capable of being used with the standard inserts used on other Bruckner live center models. Eight standard inserts are offered, including extended length, large diameter, female and carbide tipped. Custom inserts can be quoted and provided by Powerhold.
CS and CE centers offer a dual-protection seal system, including a coolant deflector on the face of the center, and the TOP-SEAL seal system that includes a secondary wiper to direct any additional residue out a drain port in the center housing prior to reaching the bearings. CS and CE centers are offered in sizes Morse taper 2 through 4.
Bruckner also manufactures tool steel and carbide dead centers and hydraulic and mechanical face drivers. Powerhold is the exclusive provider of Bruckner products in the U.S. and Canada.
