R&R Fixtures has introduced FixtureBuilder 2016, 3-D CAD software for documenting the company's modular CMM and vision fixture set-ups and performing offline part programming.
Using FixtureBuilder, users can build a fixture set-up quickly and easily from the catalogs of R&R Fixture components and base plates. Just drag and snap them into position, and the software automatically builds a list of components used and their placement for future reference. If desired, a part's CAD file can be imported into the set-up to show the part and the fixture. For customers with offline programming capabilities, the entire fixture and part can be exported to create a part program.
