Bystronic and Lantek Become Innovation Partners

Bystronic and Lantek have announced that they are working as innovation partners to assist users in an automated and networked production environment. The first goal of this partnership is the development of a manufacturing execution system (MES) solution. This will enable Bystronic to expand its existing range of sheet metal software solutions with an integrated manufacturing execution system. This MES solution will help customers to optimally integrate automation solutions and digital processes into their production landscape.

Lantek has extensive know-how and consultancy expertise relating to the development of manufacturing management software systems. For the last 30 years, it has been supporting users worldwide with a wide range of software solutions for the industrial processing of sheet metal, tubes and profiles.

Bystronic's portfolio covers high-tech systems for economical sheet metal processing. These include laser and waterjet cutting systems, press brakes, automation systems, software solutions and services.

Lantek and Bystronic's common goal is to support customers with pioneering solutions that will bring them towards a digitally permeated manufacturing environment.

"The Lantek technology portfolio is wide and deep, and Bystronic's excellence in machine construction is world renowned. With innovation a part of the DNA of both companies, this partnership will help Bystronic's customers transform how they manage Bystronic machines and transcend the established boundaries in the sheet metal industry," said Alberto Martinez, CEO of Lantek.

Bystronic CEO Alex Waser said, "With Lantek, we have gained a strong partner that will help us expand our existing software portfolio with new solutions. This partnership will provide our customers with twofold know-how. Together, Bystronic and Lantek will develop innovations that will guide users into a world of digitally networked manufacturing."
