Intuitive Software for Measuring and Inspection

Parlec, Inc. has announced the release of P7, an intuitive measuring and inspection software based on human behavior and web practices. "The human-centered design of P7 is engineered to make a complex application easy to use for operators with any level of experience," said a company spokesperson.

P7 is designed to help manufacturers be more efficient with their measuring and inspection needs. P7 has many features such as Echo, a feature that monitors the operator's process once and then reproduces it automatically; and AAIM, which is capable of comparing forms and measurements of a cutting tool to a .dxf drawing. "The new P7 interface was designed with the user experience in mind," said Matthew Ricotta, Director of Product Marketing. "From the flat color scheme designed to be used for extended periods of time without straining the operators eyes, to the feedback indicators located throughout providing the operators constant feedback."

The P7 Measuring and Inspection software is available on Series 1550, 1850 and Apex tool measuring and inspection machines. "The software is designed to be modular and grow as users grow, containing many software modules to enhance an operator's process. These modules are available to be added at any point," said the spokesperson.
