Compact Machining Center with Quick Turn Pallet Change

Yamazen Inc., a global trading company with a focus on the distribution of machine tools and other industrial and engineering equipment, along with Brother Industries, LTD, a Japanese multinational electronics and electrical equipment company, have introduced the SPEEDIO R650X1 Compact Machining Center with high-speed, QT (quick turn) two-face pallet changer.
The R650X1 incorporates Brother's original pallet changer technologies that have been installed on over 15,000 units. This technology allows workpieces on one pallet to be changed while machining workpieces on the other pallet, eliminating waste in workpiece change time and enabling nonstop machining. The machining area provides sufficient travels, an X-axis travel distance of 650 mm and a Y-axis travel distance of 400 mm, which enlarges the machining range.
Brother increased the turning diameter on the R650X1 to 1,250 mm and the work area size (one face) has been enlarged to 800 mm x 400 mm, along with a load capacity of 200 kg. These improvements are designed for the mounting of larger fixtures. Additional options are available to assist such as a low-floor table that increases the fixture height and a turning diameter enlargement option that increases the turning diameter to 1,300 mm. The loading capacity can also be increased to 300 kg (one side).
The R650X1 features a spindle start/stop time of 0.15 seconds, along with its high-speed tool change, 22 tool (or 14 tool) magazine, of 0.9 seconds (0.8 seconds) tool-to-tool and 1.7 seconds (1.6 seconds) chip-to-chip. The highly rigid structure and high-power spindle motor provides high-range machining capabilities from heavy-duty machining to high-speed high-efficiency machining, resulting in an increase in productivity.
In addition to low power and air consumption, the R650X1 is equipped with a power regeneration system and a variety of energy saving functions designed for high environmental performance.
