Coordinate Measuring Machine with Computed Tomography
March 1, 2015
Werth Messtechnik GmbH presents its new Werth TomoCheck HA 200. According to the company, this computed tomography machine offers enhanced precision due to its granite base paired with high-precision mechanics and air bearing technology.
"Like all coordinate measuring machines from Werth Messtechnik GmbH, the machine can be configured to meet customer needs with Werth multi-sensor technology," said a company spokesperson. The machine's maximum permissible error MPE specs E1 = (0.5 + L / 500) um and MPE E = (2.5 + L / 150) um. A patented software process is designed to minimize the probing deviation of the X-ray sensor. "With a special X-ray tube for the coordinate measuring technology and a 12 megapixel detector, the machine provides a high resolution of approximately 1 um, even at high radiation power," said the spokesperson.
According to the company, WinWerth 3D measurement software is a comprehensive solution, from data acquisition to final results. Software tools for material analysis, such as void and crack checks are also included as standard. The main areas of applications are precision parts and micro-components made of various materials such as fuel injection system components for automotive applications.
