Morris Midwest Open House and Technology Show March 17-18

Morris Midwest, a division of Morris Group, Inc., will hold Morris Madness, its fourth annual open house and technology show, March 17-18 in Roselle, IL. Technology from Okuma, Tsugami, Hardinge Group and numerous tooling and accessories suppliers will be displayed.

"As in past years, this year's event will showcase a broad range of machinery, including entry level lathes and Swiss types to horizontal machining centers, vertical machining centers and multifunction machines," said Mike James, Regional Sales Manager, Illinois at Morris Midwest. "This year, we are demonstrating laser technology on a Tsugami. In total, we will have more than 20 machines under power; live cutting will take place on all but a few."

The new 20 mm Laser Swiss introduced at IMTS 2014 will be displayed, along with 20 mm and 32 mm 5-axis machines from Tsugami. Advanced technology from Okuma will include the MU 500VII universal vertical machining center with double spindle design and full 5-axis simultaneous operation numeric control plus the LU3000 EX 4-axis turning center. Hardinge Group will demonstrate the new Bridgeport CONQUEST V1000 VMC with Mitsubishi control and new Hardinge CONQUEST H51 Collet Ready Spindle Turning Center.

Morris Midwest shares its Roselle facility with Tsugami/Rem Sales and Okuma America Corporation. With training and presentation rooms, the facility doubles as a regional technical center for Okuma and its Partners in THINC program.

Product specialists and representatives from more than 20 leading technology suppliers will be in attendance and available both days to discuss latest advancements. Catered lunch and refreshments will be served daily.
