Two High-Performance Measuring Systems Offered
March 1, 2015
RAM Optical Instrumentation, a division of Quality Vision International (QVI), has introduced its new QVI Spark and SparkMVP high-performance dimensional measuring systems.
"The new Spark and SparkMVP systems combine compact and reliable measurement platforms with a high resolution optical system to provide the precision needed for measurement of very small parts and features," said a company spokesperson. Spark features semi-automatic operation, while SparkMVP offers fully automatic CNC operation. "Both systems offer interchangeable lenses that allow users to configure the magnification and field of view size for optimal performance on each measurement application," said the spokesperson.
Spark and SparkMVP are equipped with a fixed lens optical system and digital megapixel color camera providing high-resolution images and the added flexibility of three digital zoom levels. "Three standard light sources provide optimal illumination for measurement of even the smallest features," said the spokesperson.
In addition, SparkMVP offers an optional through-the-lens laser for surface profile and depth measurements. "With no offset between the laser and optical paths, stage motion is reduced, providing overall faster measurements," said the spokesperson. An optional focus grid projector and touch probe extend SparkMVP's capabilities to a broad range of applications.
Spark and SparkMVP XYZ measurement volumes range from 150 x 75 x 125 mm to 300 x 300 x 150 mm. Both systems are equipped with QVI's metrology software Measure-X.
