Hardinge Inc. has released its Bridgeport Conquest V1000 vertical machining center (VMC). This new generation machine is a fully digital, high-quality machine tool designed to achieve maximum capacity and performance in the job shop, OEM, aerospace, automotive and power generation industries and other manufacturing sectors.
The Bridgeport Conquest V1000 provides fast rapid traverse of 1,693 IPM on the XY axes and 1,417 IPM on the Z-axis. The Mitsubishi M70M control features NAVI MILL Programming and 10.4" LCD. The machine has a direct-drive 20 HP, 10,000 RPM spindle motor with 75.2 ft-lbs. of torque and a 30-tool swing-arm automatic tool changer. Large 45 mm ball screws are provided on all axes and 35 mm linear guides are standard on the X-axis with 45 size guides on the YZ axes. XYZ axis travels are 40" (1,020 mm) x 24" (610 mm) x 24" (610 mm).
Options include part probe, tool probe, XYZ linear scales, coolant through spindle, 4th and 5th (4+1) axis drive package, automatic power shut off, spare M-codes, chip conveyor, auto door and more.
