Prevent Carryover and Work Flow Stoppage from Clinging Scrap

PRAB's Pivot Belt conveyor is engineered specifically for moving oily, thin-gauge trim scrap, stamping slugs, motor laminations and eyelet press scrap without carryover. The pivoting sections and raised dimpled Rigidized steel belt are intended to eliminate carryover of scrap that gets stuck in other conveyors.

"Raised pusher flights provide positive material flow as the seamless one-piece pan collects waste fluid for safe disposal or recycling," said a company spokesperson. "The overlapping hinged pans individually pivot, preventing scrap from getting lodged in the belt and facilitating full discharge of scrap. Belt sizes are available in either 2.5 inch or 4 inch pitch."

Custom skirts, chutes and hoppers are available to accommodate a range of scrap challenges. Other features include built-in automatic overload protection; heavy duty side frames reinforced with abrasion resistant track for longer life; and side wings and flights that are integrally die-formed to the pan.
