Beltless Magnetic Conveyor Series

Magnetic Products, Inc. (MPI) offers beltless magnetic conveyors (BLM) designed to efficiently move ferrous metal, stampings, turnings, chips, fasteners, scrap and more. Permanent magnets, located below a nonmagnetic stainless steel slider bed, transport parts. As the magnets move, objects travel along the conveyor and into a bin.
MPI's beltless magnetic conveyors are designed to provide maintenance-free operation. With no external moving components except for the drive motor assembly, the liquid-tight sealed conveyor housing can be completely submerged in machine reservoir tanks. According to the company, an internal, self-adjusting take-up system eliminates the need for time-consuming fine-tuning of mechanics. The conveyor's sealed design prevents scrap from entering and damaging internal components.
MPI offers BLM conveyors in five standard models. Custom units are available and can be supplied with ancillary components, such as feeders, hoppers and oil collection system, to provide a complete material handling system. MPI offers complete demolition of old equipment and installation services.
Standard features include:
- UHMW cartridges to eliminate metal-on-metal friction
- Variety of metal circuits offered
- 2" tall side guides
- 230/460 V 3-phase motor with gear reducer and torque limiter
- Ceramic 8 magnet material
- Inclines available in 15° increments from 15° to 90°.
Optional features include:
- Rare earth magnet assemblies
- Rigidized stainless steel slider beds
- Manganese impact plate on slider bed for improved durability
- Custom designed side guards, coolant troughs, smoke covers, discharge units and controls
- Three head styles for enhanced part discharge: continuous radius; horizontal; nose-over.
