GSM Industrial, a fabricator and installation provider of custom industrial steel products, has announced its asset acquisition of Schugt Manufacturing, a full service machining shop specializing in precision CNC machining based in Dover, PA. The acquisition allows GSM Industrial to expand its machining capabilities by capitalizing on Schugt's expertise and equipment.
As part of the deal, five Schugt employees, including Owner and President David Schugt, joined GSM Industrial, adding machinists, programmers and supervisors to the team. The existing equipment at the Schugt machine shop has been transitioned to GSM's West Hempfield Township facility on Hempland Road.
"The acquisition brings immediate benefits to our current customers, as well as to Schugt's existing customer base," said Brian Dombach, President of GSM Industrial. "As GSM Industrial expands our current machining capabilities by improving the caliber of our equipment and increasing the experience of our staff, Schugt's customers get greater fabrication services from a reputable company with a strong financial backing."
Schugt specialized in precision CNC milling and turning, manual machining and blanchard grinding. The shop is well equipped with CNC turning centers, CNC vertical machining centers, manual mills, lathes and grinders.
For more than four decades GSM Industrial has provided industrial fabrication services across a number of industries, including manufacturing, aggregates, construction, engineering, foundry/steel mill and food processing.
