With the UNO 20/40, DMG / Mori Seiki offers an entry-level model with professional features for tool presetting. The UNO 20/40 is designed to combine ergonomics with comprehensive technical equipment, such as touch display, tower extension and an RFID chip system.
The tool presetter is offered with X/Z travels of 200/400 mm. An SK 50 spindle is standard and features vacuum clamping, spindle brake and 4 x 90° indexing for turning tools. All other conventional tool interfaces like VDI or HSK can be realized through adaptation to the spindle.
"An FEM-optimized and high quality grey cast construction forms the base," said Uwe Hirschenberger, Managing Director of DMG Microset GmbH. "The rigid bed with 3-point support and safe footing provides flexibility in the workshop through simple positioning. The integrated infinite fine adjustment in both axes and the segment incident light for visual cutting edge control are standard components."
The UNO features a 19" display and release-by-touch operation. A 21" touch screen is optionally available, which enables easier operation of the new MICROVISION UNO software.
"MICROVISION UNO provides the user with intuitive operation and quickly achieves highly accurate measuring results by using helpful functions," said Hirschenberger. "Accuracy is supported by a focusing window, which enables exact positioning even for highly complex tools. Another example for easy operation is MicroDock, to which up to four measuring favorites can be added via drag and drop. Furthermore, specially predefined measurement wizards simplify measuring of almost all conventional standard tools like reamers, drills or milling cutters. In addition, users can transfer their measured values efficiently and error-free via postprocessor to almost all control types."
