Houston GibbsCAM 2013 Rollout

The 2013 GibbsCAM Rollout will be held November 5 at Okuma America Corporation, 4727 S. Pinemont Dr., Houston, TX, from 1 PM to 4 PM. All GibbsCAM customers and prospects are invited to learn what the new release has to offer. GibbsCAM Corporate will lead the demonstration and Texas Offline staff will be on site to answer any questions. GibbsCAM 2013 is now available and all current Maintenance customers will be shipped this copy.

This new release, which includes enhancements to the entire suite of GibbsCAM, focuses on improving the efficiency of part programming and machine run time. GibbsCAM 2013 is intended to provide new system enhancements for improved functionality, quality, reliability and performance. In addition, GibbsCAM 2013 offers new specialized options for turbomachinery and porting applications.

Enhancements and improvements were added to the Interface, Production Mill, SolidSurfacer, Production Lathe and MTM Geometry Creation, 5 Axis, 5 Axis MultiBlade and Porting options; all are compatible with Windows 8 modules. New plug-ins were added for Autodesk Vault, ISCAR Tool Advisor (ITA), updated support for Parasolid, ACIS, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, PTC Creo Parametric and Solid Edge. A new STEP option has been added as a standalone option.

"The GibbsCAM Rollout is always a highly anticipated event," said Jason Heyse, President of Texas Offline. "It gives us a chance to see all our old customers and preview for free all the new options that have been added to our software."

Texas Offline will also be previewing eNET DNC, which provides both wired and wireless DNC to make shops more fluid. According to the company, eNETDNC is an Ethernet based CNC data management system that offers flexible, secure, reliable and cost effective data management by allowing the user to connect CNC machine controls using an existing computer network. In addition to the basic DNC functions, the eNETDNC system includes a full-featured CNC file editor. The editor provides useful programming tools, including 2D and 3D back plotting and Smart File Compare. System security protects CNC files from unapproved access while providing machinists with downloading capabilities. The eNETDNC system can be configured to include machine monitoring and data collection and supports all CNC machine control types, including proprietary Mazatrol Formats. There are no Maintenance fees with eNET. Brad Heyse, spokesperson for eNET, said, "The competition is so great in the machining world that eNETDNC pays for itself when you can have real time machining data sent from your shop floor right to your office, regardless if you have 1,000 machines or one."
