BLU Mini Mill Tooling for Acme Threads

Carmex's BLU sub-micron grade carbide with advanced PVD triple coating are now available for small-sized Acme threads in the 5 to 16 range. The latest addition to the Carmex mini mill-thread line covers 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 Acme with shank sizes ranging from 1/4" to 5/8" and diameters from .170" to .625".

"Now, designers of smaller scale complex parts are specifying Acme threads in new and unique applications. To answer that demand, Carmex engineers developed an Acme internal threading tool within the context of our mini mill-thread line. We manufacture it using our BLU carbide with PVD triple coating. The result is a tool capable of high performance and improved surface finish, even in the hardest materials. It is the ideal combination of one of the oldest thread designs with the newest in cutting tool technology."
