Boston Centerless Achieves ISO 13485 Certification
August 1, 2013
Boston Centerless, a material supplier of precision ground bars, announced it has received ISO 13485 certification from ABS Quality Evaluations. This standard certifies that Boston Centerless employs a quality management system that demonstrates its ability to meet the stringent requirements of customers in the medical equipment and device industry.
"ISO 13485 certification complements our existing ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 certifications - reassuring our customers that Boston Centerless works to meet or exceed internationally recognized quality benchmarks in one of the most highly regulated industries," said Dave Mersereau, Vice President of Operations at Boston Centerless.
The International Organization of Standardization, the developer and publisher of international industrial and commercial standards for business, maintains this certification. "Companies that achieve these certifications are recognized within the medical device industry and by international regulatory bodies as operating at the highest standards of quality," said a company spokesperson.
"Compliance to ISO 13485 gives our customers another reason to do business with us by demonstrating our commitment to quality and leading edge manufacturing processes," said Steve Tamasi, CEO at Boston Centerless. "We have taken an important step forward in establishing ourselves as an industry leader in the supply chain for the medical device and implant sectors, and we continue to build upon our quality processes to add value to our products and support to our customers."
