Optomec Appoints VP Business Development

Jamie Hanson

Optomec, a supplier of production grade additive manufacturing (AM) systems for 3-D printed metals and 3-D printed electronics, announced that Jamie Hanson, former Chief Operating Officer at Methods 3D, has assumed responsibilities in the newly created position of VP Business Development at Optomec.

For the past 10 years, Hanson served as the Director of Corporate Development at Methods Machine Tools and COO of Methods 3D, a U.S. distributor of machine tools, where he also initiated their activities in 3-D printing. Prior to that, Hasnon was at Applied Materials for 17 years, where he was Director of Eastern Regional Account Operations. Hanson is a graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and was an Airborne Ranger.

"I am thrilled to be joining Optomec, particularly at this inflection point, where additive manufacturing is being adopted into production processes," Hanson said. "Optomec technology is uniquely positioned to take advantage of this opportunity, and I am excited in my role to help our customers implement this technology to make a difference in their business."

"Jamie has a truly unique background as a commercial executive in both the machine tool and semiconductor equipment markets, each of which is crucial to Optomec's growth strategy," said Optomec CEO Dave Ramahi. "I am confident that he will contribute significantly to our continued success."
