5-Axis Double Column VCM

Kent USA has announced its 5-axis double column VCM, the KFD-2442A-5A.
Outfitted with a Kessler 2AH HSK-A100 (5-axis simultaneous) A/C head, full Siemens Sinumerik One 5-axis control, and factory upgrades, this machine offers a combination of power, rigidity, and advanced automation.
Machine highlights:
- Massive 4,200 x 2,400 x 1,000 mm travel (165" x 94" x 39")
- 16,000 RPM / 40 kW HSK-A100 spindle with oil cooler
- Kessler 5-axis head + Siemens Sinumerik One CNC with MPG
- Dual auger + lift-up chip conveyor system
- 18-ton table load capacity
- Rigid linear guideways + CTS prep + full guarding.
Factory upgrades:
- 60-tool chain ATC (upgrade from 40T)
- Z-axis extension: 800 mm to 1,000 mm
- Dynamic Collision Monitoring (DCM)
- Fagor linear scales on XYZ
- Renishaw RMP-60 probe + TS-27R tool setter
- Upgraded semi-enclosure splash guard.
