Mika Metal Fabricating Expands Capabilities

Mika Metal Fabricating has announced the arrival of a major machinery upgrade that is already making a significant impact on its shop floor: the AMADA HRB 2204 press brake.

This advanced press brake significantly enhances Mika's forming capabilities by delivering improved precision, repeatability, and efficiency. Designed to support complex part production and tight tolerances, the HRB 2204 provides Mika's team with greater confidence and consistency across a wide range of bending applications.

With a maximum capacity of 230 tons, the press brake enables Mika Metal Fabricating to take on larger, more demanding projects while maintaining high quality standards. The investment also improves workflow efficiency and supports safer, more ergonomic operations on the shop floor.

"This equipment investment reflects what matters most to us-delivering consistent quality for our customers, improving workflows for our team, and staying ahead through continuous improvement," said Ryan Thomas, President of Mika.

Additionally, Mika Metal Fabricating has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification through Bureau Veritas, a provider of testing, inspection, and certification services.

ISO 9001:2015 certification reflects Mika's commitment to a robust quality management system focused on continuous improvement, risk-based thinking, and consistent delivery of products that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements. This milestone validates the company's disciplined processes, strong documentation controls, and customer-focused approach across all operations.

"Achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification is a significant accomplishment for our team," said Thomas. "It reinforces our long-standing commitment to quality, accountability, and operational excellence while providing our customers with added confidence in our ability to deliver consistent, reliable results."

The certification process included a comprehensive audit of Mika's internal procedures, quality controls, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
