Eurotech Elite has introduced the fourth generation of the Trofeo multi-axis BMX series.
Designed to deliver peak performance, both technologically and structurally, the series is 6,000 lbs. heavier than its predecessor and available with three different bar capacities: 51 mm, 70 mm, and 80 mm.
Two high performance turrets, designed and manufactured by Eurotech, offer 15 live tool positions each. Eurotech Gang Systems (EGS) enable the machining of complex parts with up to 240 tools. The prismatic guides on the X and Y axes offer greater stability during demanding machining operations.
The new BMX base is designed with a 45° inclination compared to 30° in the previous series. The innovative design, generous 45 mm wide roller guides, and the increased weight of around 1,500 kg provide robustness and resistance to stress, reducing vibrations.
At the heart of the new BMX Trofeo turret is a powerful integrated motor in the tool disc, thermally cooled and stabilized for maximum efficiency. The motion is transmitted directly, with no kinematic chain: the motor is directly coupled to the toolholder.
Additional features include:
- Clearshift subspindle-Independent programming of the upper and lower turrets
- Gap elimination software-Enables continuous operation, even during parts catch, by keeping tools engaged and productive
- Parts gantry-Automatic parts-catcher efficiently removes finished parts in automatic mode and idle time, enhancing lights-out operation.
"The result is a simpler, more compact, high-performance system," said a company spokesperson. "The final benefit is tangible: better finishes, greater rigidity and removal capacity, with quieter and more stable operation, even during the toughest processes."
