Solution for Short Production Runs

Edge Technologies offers an updated version of its Rebel 80 model. The Rebel 80 Servo v3's enhanced features and user friendliness make it suited for automating short production runs at an economical price, the company reported.

"The Rebel 80 Servo v3 represents a paradigm shift in production bar working," said Kevin Meehan, President of Edge Technologies. "Its innovative design is the culmination of years of customer feedback combined with the company's almost 40 years of magazine bar feeding experience."

The Rebel 80 Servo v3 features an improved conversational control with a new touchscreen HMI and 300-program storage. This Ethernet-ready system is engineered for advanced interfacing and more involved applications like shaft loading. Yet it remains easy to use for short-run work that requires quick changeovers.

Edge Technologies has added rollers to the V-tray, two polycarbonate windows to observe bar loading and a folding axial shift (X-axis) that streamlines the footprint and allows for maintenance access and spindle liner changeover.

The Rebel 80 Servo v3 also enables loading configurations beyond the standard feeding from the rear with the option to configure the magazine to feed from the front. Additional key advantages include an optional kit to automate shaft loading and an extended magazine rack.
