Midwest CAM Solutions, a GibbsCAM reseller, is expanding its team with two recent hires: Jerry McKee as Applications Technician, and Michael Krech as Project Engineer.
McKee worked for 28 years for a large tooling provider in many roles, including machinist, CNC programmer and technical support. He has experience programming a wide range of CNC machines, from 2-axis lathes, 3- through 5-axis mills and MTM machines.
"I enjoy meeting new people, especially one-on-one interaction, where I can really help them out," said McKee. "I love using GibbsCAM because you can tell that it has been designed for machinists to use. It keeps things simple, but it is still very powerful."
Krech brings with him extensive experience in IT and project management. He has been tasked with ensuring that every area of the business is operating at peak efficiency to maximize resources and minimize costs. Krech has held many positions in the public sector, ranging from project management to IT support to analyzing information systems for the Public Works Department of a mid-size city. Most recently, Krech founded a drone services company, from which he brings many business management skills.
"At the heart of it, I am really a problem solver, and look forward to finding ways that we can be more efficient in our processes so that Midwest CAM Solutions can continue to provide excellent service and support to all our customers," said Krech.
Don Casanova, CEO of Midwest CAM Solutions, said, "We are excited to bring Jerry and Michael onboard to provide excellent service and streamline our practices. As a business owner, I look for ways to maximize every resource so that we can continue to grow and scale our business."
