New President and CEO Named at TRUMPF Inc.

Lutz Labisch

TRUMPF has announced Lutz Labisch as President and CEO of TRUMPF Inc. He will be responsible for production, sales and service of TRUMPF's machine tool and laser technology product portfolio in North America, and for the strategy and business operations at TRUMPF subsidiaries in the United States. He will also oversee TRUMPF operations in Mexico, Canada and Brazil.

"Lutz is an adept manager who has proven his expertise in previous management functions in the finance department of the holding company in Germany and at TRUMPF's North American subsidiary," said Nicola Leibinger-Kammueller, CEO of TRUMPF Group. "He also possesses the key cultural skills and knows the markets in North America, Europe and Germany. I wish him every success for the great tasks that lie ahead."

Labisch brings nearly 20 years of experience in the machine tool industry, and has held various finance and management positions throughout his career and six-year tenure with TRUMPF. Labisch earned a master's degree in industrial engineering and business administration from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany and studied as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Michigan.

"I am excited to further grow TRUMPF's customer relationships in North America," said Labisch. "Our mission is to enable customers to create exceptional products by offering outstanding laser and production solutions. We provide market leading technology and customer service to a broad variety of customers and industries. Whether our customers are small family-owned job shops or multinational companies, we are dedicated to serving them all with a wide product portfolio ranging from affordable entry-level machines to fully integrated and automated Smart Factory solutions."

Labisch will take over responsibility from Peter Hoecklin, who is leaving the TRUMPF Group after more than 18 years with the company. "Peter Hoecklin has rendered great services to the development of TRUMPF North America," said Leibinger-Kammueller.
