Jrlon Acquires Metalworx

Jrlon Inc., headquartered in Palmyra, NY, has announced the acquisition of Metalworx, Inc. located in Summerville, SC. Metalworx, a high performance contract manufacturer, specializes in precision machining and complete metal fabrication. The addition of Metalworx adds AS9100 certification, ITAR registration and ISO-13485 compliance to the Jrlon portfolio.

Jrlon is a privately held custom manufacturer of specialty metal and high performance plastic and rubber products. They provide molding, machining and industrial coating of Fluoropolymers and offer injection molding, compression molding, CNC machining, Swiss-type CNC machining, industrial coating, complete gear manufacturing, metal fabrication and assembly services.

Employing a staff of 46, Metalworx is a manufacturer of low to high volume, highly engineered and precision manufactured components, assemblies and products. Metalworx serves a wide range of markets including aerospace, transportation, medical device, Department of Defense, forestry, power generation, communication and other industrial and technology based industries. The additional capabilities and capacity strengthen and extend the services offered by Jrlon.

"The addition of an organization like Metalworx adds significant value to Jrlon's growing customer base," said Brandon Redmond, Jrlon, Inc. co-owner and COO. "Metalworx is a great fit into our family of businesses. Everything from the culture and people over profits mentality to the diversity of products and services make it a perfect fit. We share a great deal of commonalities as organizations that should blend together very well. They bring additional certifications that we did not have, and have well established relationships with a customer base that we were very interested in penetrating. We see this as an incredible opportunity to cross sell and utilize each other's capabilities. We are all about adding as much value to our customers as possible."

In addition to precision machining, Metalworx brings with it a high level of automation and also offers sheet metal fabrication, robotic welding, 3D printing and in-house painting and finishing.

Michael L. Sawer, outgoing President/CEO of Metalworx, Inc. and active CEO of Real Performance Machinery, LLC (RPM), said, "Metalworx is in great hands with Jrlon and the two brothers, Brandon and Chad Redmond, who carry on a legacy with their family business. I am extremely confident the company cultures will allow for a seamless transition of ownership for all the employees, and our customers will appreciate the added capabilities that Jrlon will bring to their organizations. RPM will continue to have a business relationship with Metalworx and Jrlon moving forward."

Metalworx will continue to operate out of its two Summerville, SC, locations.
