Front Mount Chucks and Base Plates

Gator has introduced a new line of universal base plates with centering devices, designed for Gator precision and universal plain back, and adjustable, front mount scroll chucks.

Gator base plates can be installed directly on T-slot platters, as well as flat face "direct bolt" tables and indexers. Gator baseplates with centering devices allow for quick and precise chuck installation, and can be supplied for almost every table and indexer brand on the market.

"Simple, quick and very accurate installation allow the end user to use both base plates and chucks in a large variety of table and indexing applications on VTLs, milling and drilling machines, grinders and on the welding fixtures," said a company spokesperson. They are also a suitable option in many quality control applications.

Front mount chucks are offered with diameters 3" through 20" and in 2-, 3-, 4-, and 6-jaw executions. Base plates are offered for chucks 5" through 20" in diameter. Larger diameters (up to 80") and custom executions are available as special order. All base plates are made of steel, and are heat treated and ground within tight tolerances.
