Dake Celebrates 130 Years of American Manufacturing

Inside the Dake manufacturing facilities in Grand Haven, MI. The company has been located at this facility since the 1950s.
Before Dake was known for manufacturing machine tools, it was known for its steam engines. In 1887, Dake opened its doors in Grand Haven, MI. Shortly thereafter, it went on to manufacture over 10,000 steam engines for the war effort. It was not until the end of World War II that Dake started manufacturing its line of arbor presses and hand operated hydraulic presses. By the 1950s, the line of presses expanded to more than 170 models, bringing on a move to the facility it is still in today.
Over the years, Dake has expanded its product line to include bandsaws, cold saws, drill presses and more.
