Haas VF Series VMC CNC Retrofit

Turn-key Haas CNC Control Upgrade professionally installed in under eight hours.

A Haas VF-1 CNC control upgrade can take place in eight hours. Alfa Controls has developed a Haas VF series turn-key CNC retrofit package that is professionally installed and replaces all the old original Haas CNC electronics with new Centroid CNC controls and adds new CNC functionality with easy work flow and reliability to the machine tool, backed by CNC support and service.

VF-1 Retrofit

"High priced repair options from Haas lead Alfa Controls to develop a turn-key CNC control retrofit upgrade that is professionally installed in under eight hours and completely replaces all the old Haas CNC electronics with modern reliable Made in USA Centroid CNC controls. The entire upgrade process takes less than eight hours and is professionally installed on site," said an Alfa Controls spokesperson.

  • Step 1: Remove the old Haas electronics. A technician removes the existing electronics by unbolting the cabinet back panel and removing it entirely.
  • Step 2: Remove Haas CNC operators console.
  • Step 3: Unpack new Centroid/Alfa CNC control panel. The entire electrical sub panel is pre-assembled and ready to install along with the new Centroid M400 CNC operator's console.
  • Step 4: Mount the new Centroid/Alfa CNC control electrical sub panel into the existing Haas electrical cabinet. Direct bolt up installation. Cabling and wiring is then connected to the new sub panel.
  • Step 5: Install the new Centroid M400 CNC operators console. Centroid's touch screen CNC operator's console is user friendly with intuitive controls for all common machine tool functions.
  • Step 6: Power up and configure Centroid CNC control. Pre configured PLC programs and machine tool set-up makes quick work of configuring the Centroid CNC control to run the Haas VMC. The Centroid is equipped with a large Solid State Drive. Just in case, backups are made after the configuration and kept on file and provided to the customer for fast and easy future CNC PC restoration or upgrades.
  • Step 7: Installation completed in under eight hours. Machine is now ready to run parts.
