Add Wi-Fi to any CNC Machine via a USB Port

"Transmitting data from an old machine in a shop wirelessly no longer requires a big investment of time and money," said a Shop Floor Automations spokesperson. Wi-Fi USB Connect plugs into the USB port of a machine, adding Wi-Fi to the machine and allowing it to connect wirelessly to a shared folder. Data is stored on a remote PC in the shop, or locally via memory in the device (up to 128 MB of storage).

"Machinists will be able to see files at their machines on this device as soon as they are added to the shared folder," said the spokesperson. "Walking to a programmer's office is no longer necessary. Plus, cabling is no longer needed, since a wireless connection to the shared folder eliminates this requirement.

"While a driver is not required, there is just a short web configuration needed initially. Nearly any shop floor machine tools with a USB port are compatible with this device. CNC machines with a USB port and floppy drive emulators are compatible."
