KISTERS 3DViewStation has announced the release of 3DViewStation WebViewer. The WebViewer version of 3DViewStation provides fast 3-D viewing, advanced analysis and Digital MockUp (DMU) for browser based viewing and mobile users of tablet-PCs and smartphones. There is no client installation required.
The 3DViewStation WebViewer version 2015 offers mobile users the same performance, APIs and functionality, which have previously been only available to desktop users.
50,000+ parts assemblies can be viewed on a smartphone in seconds with 3DViewStation WebViewer using a mobile data connection. Navigation features include zoom, pan, rotate and selection. Like the desktop version of 3DViewStation, the WebViewer user can section complex models, perform measurements, dimensioning, transformations and even draft angle analysis. With either the WebViewer or desktop version of 3DViewStation, users can create help geometries and coordinate systems, and markup functions are available too.
An XML based API has been added to all 3DViewStation configurations, the WebViewer as well as the Desktop and ActiveX versions. This API allows integration into any software or workflow, typically PLM, ERP and CMS systems; it can also be used for product configuration solutions. Assembly data can be loaded and modified dynamically using transformation matrices for every single part.
The KISTERS 3DViewStation is available as Desktop, ActiveX and HTML5 WebViewer product-versions. All products are intended to be used together with a PLM, ERP or other management system providing all necessary APIs. For cloud, portal and Web solutions there is an HTML5-based WebViewer solution available, which does not require any client installation. All file formats can be used in combination with the intelligent navigation and hyperlinking features to address needs of complex integration scenarios.
