Workshops for Warriors Hosts Fall Graduation
February 1, 2016
Workshops for Warriors, a nonprofit assisting veterans who are transitioning into civilian life through training, certification and job placement, hosted its fall graduation ceremony recently.
Held at its educational facility, 46 graduates - the largest graduating class to date - were recognized, enabling them to immediately integrate into large and small manufacturing organizations throughout the U.S.
"We are the only accredited nonprofit providing veterans with these opportunities. Not only do we offer state-of-the-art equipment, computers and facilities, but most importantly, all training is at no cost to veterans," said Hernàn Luis y Prado, Founder of Workshops for Warriors. "We are extremely proud of our graduates and look forward to continuing our 100 percent placement rate."
Each semester runs 16 weeks and offers students credentials from top industry organizations such as the National Institute for Metalworking Skills, Mastercam University (computer-aided manufacturing), SolidWorks (computer-aided design) and the American Welding Society.
