JEC World, formerly JEC Europe, is moving locations for the 2016 exhibition. The JEC World composites show will take place March 8-10 in Paris at Paris Nord Villepinte.
The JEC World exhibition and the conferences address the whole composites value chain from raw materials to intermediates and end-using industry consumers of composite materials such as aerospace, automotive, energy or sports and leisure.
JEC World will offer for the first time four "planets" organized around a galleria of innovations, discussions and networking areas.
"Composites have the power to change the world. Last year, we launched `Composites for Better Living,' an expo within the exhibition in order to present composite objects that enhance the quality of our lives," said Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group President and CEO. "In 2016, we will go further and explore how composites respond to the challenges of this century: energy, sustainability and environment. Therefore, we will exhibit materials, technologies and products that are increasingly energy efficient, resources- saving and reusable. JEC Group launches four spaces called Planets, inviting visitors to indulge their curiosity and explore the Future in the Aerospace Planet, Automotive Planet, and Sustainable Planet. In 2016, the `Composites for Better Living' Planet will be dedicated to Sports and Leisure.
"Our new format should reward and inspire our visitors. JEC World 2016 will be the place where innovative minds can find diverse perspectives on composites and can share their discoveries with others."
JEC World attendees will be able to visit 1,300 exhibiting brands, attend the 11 conferences and the Innovation Awards Ceremony, participate in the 30+ technical sales presentations and be part of the 600+ B2B meetings or the many other JEC programs developed for the community.
Furthermore, the Automotive Composites circle will take place during JEC World. Last year the circle was highlighted with insightful speeches from PSA, Toyota, Siemens and the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation.
The Live Demo Zone will demonstrate the growing advances of automation in composites manufacturing.
The Republic of Korea, Country Guest of Honor
"In recent years, South Korean firms have been at the forefront of several noteworthy composite material developments that have been recognized worldwide in particular for their carbon breakthroughs," said a company spokesperson. "Moreover, the close relationship of the golden triangle of government, industry and research together with material sciences and engineering is vital in the development of composites. This model has been proven to be positive and fruitful in many countries and South Korea is a good example."
