Integro Technologies Corp., a vision integrator in Salisbury, NC, has announced its recent partnership with the North Carolina (NC) Manufacturing Institute.
The NC Manufacturing Institute initiative was conceived in the summer of 2014 during meetings with leaders from Rowan and Cabarrus counties from both chambers of commerce, economic development authorities, the Centralina Workforce Development Board and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
"The NC Manufacturing Institute is a response to employers' need for solving talent recruitment issues in order to grow and remain competitive. This initiative builds a clear and achievable pathway for people to acquire those skills in order to access good jobs in local communities," said a spokesperson.
"The training provided by the NC Manufacturing Institute is critical to our region and state's economic health and future. The employee requirements and skill sets have changed from traditional manufacturing as a result of automation and computer technology," said Shawn Campion, President of Integro Technologies.
"Manufacturing firms and companies such as Integro Technologies will benefit from collaborating with the NC Manufacturing Institute through access to a pipeline of screened, trained and certified production technicians who can help them achieve their business goals," said the spokesperson.
"Having a partner like Integro provides the NC Manufacturing Institute with valuable resources and insights as we build the manufacturing workforce of tomorrow. Integro's approaches to machine vision systems and technology integration, coupled with its commitment to the local economy, is a perfect fit for our initiative," said Craig Lamb, Vice President of Corporate & Continuing Education at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
