PartMaker Inc., a division of Autodesk's Delcam unit, has launched a PartMaker Mobile App for smartphones and tablets. The PartMaker Mobile App is available for free from the iTunes App Store or Google Play. The app can be found by searching for the keyword "PartMaker" in the search area.

The PartMaker Mobile App is a resource for PartMaker users. It allows PartMaker users to quickly see when the next training class in the local area or subject of interest is being held. Users can check when and where PartMaker will be on display at trade shows and machine tool open houses where they can directly interact with PartMaker product specialists. The PartMaker Mobile App also features a link to educational videos hosted on PartMaker's YouTube channel. Users can also see an up to date schedule of educational webinars being hosted. Additionally, users can correspond directly with the PartMaker technical support team from the app.

"PartMaker is a knowledge-based machining system, allowing it to provide a substantial gain in programming efficiency by remembering the tools, material and process information necessary to machine individual part features," said a company spokesperson. It is designed to relieve the user from reentering the same features information for subsequent parts. It also improves productivity by placing the emphasis on tool management functions.
