Multidirectional Pedestrian Reach Truck
March 1, 2014
Combilift offers its Combi-WR4 multidirectional pedestrian reach truck.
"Feedback from Combilift customers indicated the need for a smaller capacity unit to handle lighter loads; we responded by developing the Combi-WR4," said Combilift CEO Martin McVicar. "This very compact and maneuverable machine, our smallest model to date, handles palletized material as well as longer loads in very confined areas and offers numerous advantages in terms of safer operations where the general public and employees may be present."
Incorporating the benefits of AC technology in its traction, pump and steering motors, this reach stacker has a lift height of 16' and a load capacity of 3,200 lbs. With electronic power steering, pantograph and side shift functions it can work in aisle widths as little as 79" pallet to pallet.
The multi-position tiller incorporates push button rotation of the rear wheel parallel to the chassis for placing and picking in the aisle. This enables the operator to remain at the side of the truck rather than at the rear, improving forward visibility. The risk of incidents in tight and/or narrow aisles is reduced, as the operator is not positioned between the racking and the truck. In order to rotate the rear wheel parallel to the tiller, the operator merely needs to push the button again. A rabbit/turtle switch controls two-speed operation, and speeds can also be adjusted or customized to suit the level of the operator's experience.
