Heidenhain offers metrology products ranging from in-process fixture inspection requiring multiple gauging configurations to 2D and 3D inspection machine encoders and digital readouts.
Gauging and inline process inspection products include Heidenhain's SPECTO, METRO and ACANTO series of length gauges that are designed to provide a high level of repeatability and reproducibility to collect reliable data. When connected to either Heidenhain's GAGE CHEK ND2100G or the MSE1000 multiplexor, go/no-go relay signals can be sent directly to a PLC and data can be exported to Excel. These products are commonly seen in inspection processes that require dedicated fixturing of the manufactured parts and custom applications.
Heidenhain's piece part inspection products include the ND Series of metrology digital readouts designed for simple, intuitive dimensional inspection and are intended for use on all brands of quality control inspection equipment. For those requiring a powerful PC-based inspection solution, the IK 5000 QUADRA-CHEK PC software/hardware system is used for manual and automated 2D and 3D measuring tasks, and is particularly useful on multiple probe, video and touch probe-based CMMs, as well as optical comparators, according to the company.
