The Bystronic ByTrans compact material handling system is designed to provide higher machine utilization, expanded operations and reduced labor costs. With ByTrans, user operations can be expanded up to three shifts, according to the company.
"Loading and unloading takes just 60 seconds so that the system is always faster than the shortest cutting plan," said a company spokesperson. "The short cycle time, which is independent of the thickness of the metal sheet, ensures greater overall throughput. The ByTrans offers complete accessibility and optimum operation in a small, 15 foot x 10 foot inline footprint and handles all sheet thickness up to one inch plate. ByTrans easily integrates into any ByVision controlled machine."
The ByTrans Extended incorporates two cassettes to make the machine system more autonomous. It is designed not just for storage/return transfer but also for large parts removal as well as the preparation of plastic protective separators, which are placed between the metal sheets by the system.
