ResTech Plastic Molding Expanding

ResTech Plastic Molding announced the acquisition of TechAtlantic, a custom injection molder based in Berlin, CT. The combination entity will operate under the name ResTech Plastic Molding in both locations.
"This acquisition is part of our overall strategy to expand manufacturing in the U.S. United by a common business culture and by combining resources we look to better service our customers for the long term," said a company spokesperson.
ResTech Plastic Molding came to be when Plastic Molding Manufacturing acquired Res-Tech Corporation in April 2010. The combined entity supports OEMs and emerging high-tech companies throughout the U.S. As part of its expanded services its Class 8 clean room has six electric injection molding machines with clamping forces of 40-120 tons. Overall ResTech Plastic Molding has 36 injection molding machines and combined with TechAtlantic now totals 58.
TechAtlantic serves diversified industries including fluid filtration systems, medical components, cosmetics, automotive, personal care and electronics. Its areas of expertise range from multi-cavity components requiring robotic parts picking capability to low cavitation operator attended molds requiring secondary assembly operations. TechAtlantic currently operates 22 injection molding machines ranging in size from 22-500 tons and a modern tool room with full mold maintenance, mold making and design capabilities. The plant is located in Spruce Brook Industrial Park at 114 New Park Drive, Berlin, CT 06037.
