AcraTex Industries announces that the company has received ISO 9001:2008 certification for precision machining and grinding of parts and components for various commercial industries.
ISO 9001:2008 is a quality management system recognized by organizations around the world as the benchmark for continual quality improvement. Its network consists of 163 countries working in partnership with international organizations to develop state-of-the-art specifications for products, services, and good practice. AcraTex Industries joins a group of businesses that meet those stringent international standards for quality.
"Providing quality products and customer service has always been the foundation of our work," said President, Angela Bolin. "In today's competitive manufacturing environment, customers want to be confident they are doing business with a company that can produce quality products that meet their expectations in a timely manner. With the ISO 9001:2008 certification, customers can be sure that AcraTex Industries is just that type of organization."
AcraTex went through a rigorous external audit process conducted by a 3rd party registrar that included a review of every aspect of the company's quality management system. In order to maintain its certification, and as part of its ongoing quality program, AcraTex will conduct regular internal audits and undergo an annual external audit by their registrar.
"Going through ISO Certification really put us to the test" says Vice-President, Brent Bolin. "It was a long and intense journey, but we had many dedicated employees who helped us accomplish our goal. We are excited about what this means for our company's future and are proud of our entire staff for achieving this tremendous honor."
The company was founded in 1996 as a small cutter grinding shop known as Accurate Tool Grinding. "With an emphasis on providing quality products and outstanding customer service, our business steadily expanded to include CNC machining. In 2009, Accurate Tool Grinding incorporated under the new name of AcraTex Industries. Our once small cutter grinding shop is now a versatile multi-service company with 22 employees supplying a variety of products to a diverse customer base. AcraTex Industries' industrial services now include: CNC machining, Blanchard grinding, and cutting tool re-sharpening," said a company spokesperson.
Machining services and equipment include: CAD/CAM, portable CMM capabilities, a dedicated in-house inspector, CNC lathes, CNC mills with 4th axis capabilities, manual lathes and mills, Blanchard rotary grinders, keyway equipment, metal disintegrator and metal cutting saws.
