New Band Saw DCM 18/25 for Heavy Duty Sawing

Ocean Machinery introduced its latest band saw, the Ocean Terminator DCM 18/25 built exclusively for Ocean by Hyd-Mech, a large saw producer in North America.

"With close to a thousand CNC machine installations worldwide, Ocean Machinery has established itself as a leader in the structural steel fabricating industry," said a company spokesperson. The Terminator DCM 18/25 is a semi-automatic band saw, designed for fabricators working with steel profiles up to 25" in section width, and is the smallest band saw in the Terminator range.

"The Ocean Terminator DCM 1825 is a ruggedly constructed band saw, designed for heavy duty sawing of all steel profiles including beams, channels, angle and solids. This dual-column saw features a 1-1/2" blade providing exceptional cutting speed and the ability to miter to 60 degrees in both directions. Carbide blade guides that move with the material clamp ensure excellent cutting accuracy," said the spokesperson.

Optional integrated pop-up rollers allow easy passage of material through the machine and open up the saw-cut to release the blade, in the event that the steel pinches the blade during the sawing operation.

The electrical console features all the standard operator controls including blade speed, cutting down force and digital programming of multiple go-to miter angles, so that the saw will automatically move to the next miter angle on completion of the first cut.

The Ocean Terminator is sold worldwide by the Ocean dealer network.
