SB Machine Tools Appoints Southwest Sales Manager

SB Machine Tools, the importer for Dainichi, Nomura and Kitako/Shimada machine tools, has appointed Kevin Hensler as Regional Sales Manager for the Southwest region. Using his Texas office as a base of operations, Hensler will be responsible for developing relationships in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Hensler previously spent 20 years in a machine tools sales position in upstate New York. During that time, he maintained an 18-20% market share and established relationships with customers in the military, medical and aerospace fields. Hensler also worked closely with SME, ultimately serving as chairman of the local chapter.

Hensler brings an extensive background in machine tool technology that will enable him to support a divergent clientele. He brings a passion for solving difficult manufacturing issues using his substantial technical background. His experience and achievements provide the foundation for him to continue to successfully support advanced manufacturing in this new geographic region.

The large, high-quality machines from Dainichi and Nomura are suited for industries that manufacture large components. The oldest horizontal boring mill (HBM) builder in Japan, Nomura has been building HBMs for over 100 years.

Kitako/Shimada multi-spindle (2- or 4-spindle) turning centers are designed for mass production by providing a zero loading/unloading system. While the machine cuts parts on one/two spindle(s), the machine is also loading/unloading the other one/two spindles. The high-quality, Japanese-manufactured machines are suited for a diverse customer base.
