Manufacturers Alliance Announces New Board Leadership

Raj Batra, President of Digital Industries at Siemens USA, will Chair the nonprofit Manufacturers Alliance for the next term with the support of Lee Banks, Vice Chairman and President at Parker Hannifin as Vice Chair. The two industry leaders will provide strategic vision to its Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.

"Raj and Lee are pivotal in supporting our mission to power manufacturing leaders. I am pleased that we will have their insights as the Alliance continues to serve our members in new ways and grow our membership," said Manufacturers Alliance President and CEO Stephen Gold.

The Board of Trustees brings together CEOs from mid-cap and large manufacturing companies to shed light on the most pressing issues in the industry, along with providing a candid forum for these executives to connect with each other. The Executive Committee is Manufacturers Alliance's governing body that works with the internal team to ensure that programming and content supports the needs of today's and tomorrow's leaders.

"We are at a critical juncture with a resurgence of manufacturing in North America. Manufacturers Alliance brings together cross-functional leaders to learn from each other and to share knowledge that helps members innovate and thrive in the Industry 4.0 era," said Batra. "Connecting with your peers and learning in ways unavailable through other channels makes Manufacturers Alliance a unique and invaluable experience. I am excited to support the organization that supports our industry and its people."

"While manufacturing is thriving, we are still facing critical challenges like recruiting and retaining the best talent, navigating supply chain issues and operating on an increasingly complex global stage. Manufacturers Alliance brings together top executives from large companies so they can find tangible paths forward to solve some of the sector's largest challenges. I look forward to working with the team," added Banks.

Manufacturers Alliance recently launched four new peer-to-peer councils:

  • Diversity & Inclusion
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Information & Cybersecurity
  • Plant Management.

Membership is open for those interested in these or one of the 22 other leadership areas.
