Pride Solutions LLC, a custom plastic parts manufacturer and contract assembly service in Hutchinson, MN, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2022.

Hutchinson businessman Tom Daggett formed Pride Solutions with his 2002 acquisition of May Wes Manufacturing, a manufacturer of aftermarket plastic parts for the agricultural industry. Daggett foresaw a tremendous opportunity to utilize May Wes' expertise with UHMW poly to develop a contract manufacturing service offering custom compression molded and fabricated plastic parts to a variety of industries, including defense, mining, recreational, transportation, landscaping, construction, agriculture and more. He also secured a licensing agreement to manufacture and market C&A Pro high performance snowmobile skis developed by snowmobile racing legend Dale Cormican.

Utilizing the experience he gained as the second generation to run his family's nearby metal fabrication business, Hutchinson Manufacturing, Daggett transformed May Wes' operations and made major investments in new manufacturing equipment to grow Pride Solutions' contract manufacturing services. Under the Pride Solutions umbrella, he set up four synergistic divisions: May Wes, C&A Pro, Pride Engineered Plastics and Pride Assembly. Pride Solutions offers compression molding and plastic fabrication services through Pride Engineered Plastics and electromechanical assembly and mechanical assembly services through Pride Assembly. Daggett was recognized for his contributions to the manufacturing industry with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 Made in Minnesota Manufacturing Awards.

In 2016, Tom's son Jack Daggett became president of Pride Solutions, LLC. Jack had worked on the company's production floor from high school through his college years, gaining hands-on knowledge of its production processes. In 2013, he became Operations Manager and helped improve the company's planning processes with an engineered approach to specifications and purchasing-a process that has helped the company thrive during the pandemic despite many supply-chain challenges.

Under Jack's leadership, Pride Solutions adopted the Entrepreneurial Operating System, putting the company on a solid growth trajectory. Jack has continued investing in the company, acquiring its first robot-assisted CNC lathe and an additional CNC router for its plastic fabrication shop. In 2022, Pride Solutions broke ground on a major addition that will double the size of its production facility and increase its compression molding capacity. Jack has overseen tremendous growth for Pride Solutions' Pride Engineered Plastics compression molding and plastic fabrication services as well as for Pride Assembly's contract assembly services. Since 2020, Pride Solutions has created 10 new skilled positions and now has 40+ employees.

"Pride Solutions' iconic Minnesota businesses, May Wes and C&A Pro, have both experienced phenomenal growth in recent years due to Pride Solutions' commitment to product innovation and customer service," said a spokesperson. "May Wes has released dozens of new and highly successful aftermarket farm equipment products in recent years, including its popular G4 Stalk Stompers that have been promoted through social media influencers including Zach Johnson, the Minnesota Millennial Farmer and Larson Farms. Demand for C&A Pro high performance snowmobile skis has skyrocketed with the increased interest in snowmobiling and outdoor recreation. C&A Pro skis are used by most professional snowmobile athletes, including Levi LaVallee and Elias Ishoel, four-time ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross champion."

"Pride Solutions has come a long way in 20 years," said Jack Daggett. "We owe our continued success to our loyal customers and dedicated employees. Over 20% of our employees have been with Pride Solutions for more than a decade."

"Specializing in UHMW-PE, one of the world's most durable and slickest plastics, Pride Solutions works with numerous polymers, ranging from ABS and Acetal to polycarbonate and PVC and other plastics," said the spokesperson. The company's services include compression molding and overmolding, CNC routing and lathe, line bending and thermoforming, in-house CNC metal turning and engineering CAD/CAM design services. Its contract assembly capabilities include product and sub-assemblies from prototype to high volume, supply chain management, serializing and documentation, electromechanical assembly, mechanical assembly and much more.

Pride Solutions manufactures a wide range of custom plastic parts for a wide range of industries and is a Tier 1 supplier to numerous OEMs. The compression molded and fabricated plastic parts manufacturer is capable of manufacturing everything from quick-turn one-off prototype parts to high-volume runs.
