Automatics & Machinery Co. (A&M) recently hosted a two-day open house at its 18,000 sq. ft. Longmont, CO, facility to showcase its new Ganesh machinery. "Attendees came prepared with parts, prints and the desire to move their manufacturing to newer technology," said a company spokesperson.
End users were able to view the Ganesh VFM 4024 VMC, KSL 5212 TMY, GT1640 Engine Lathe and GMV4 Deluxe Vertical Knee Mill. The Ganesh VFM 4024 milled aluminum components and showcased standard features of 12,000 RPM, Mitsubishi M720 control (a true 64-bit Risc-CPU), 680-block look ahead under Nano-Super Smoothing, through-spindle coolant, BIG-Plus spindle and more. Also demonstrated was the KSL-5212TMY running a 2" bar and threading and boring parts from 303 ss. It featured 12 tools in the turret, live tooling and Y-axis milling.
Tooling and accessory vendors included Delcam-Partmaker, Kennametal, Edge Technologies, MSC, Chip Blaster, Iemca, LMS, Royal Products and for those needing lease financing, Intech Funding.
