Grinding Machines for Aerospace

AZ SpA has developed a series of machines for the grinding of aerospace special components, including landing gear and turbine spindle.
The AKP series main features include:
- B-axis wheelhead for more flexibility and grinding with two or more wheels in the same workpiece. The grinding wheels have an identification microchip that allows error-free installation.
- In-process measurement device provides run-out correction
- Workhead with counterweights balances asymmetrical workpieces
- Conventional, CBN and diamond grinding wheels permit grinding of different types of materials and surface treatments (chromium and HVOF)
- Gap bed up to 6 meters diameter
- Monitoring system remotely controls parameters of the CNC machine.
AZ machines feature IT and web technology for assistance, training and after sales service monitoring.
