Bar Feeder for a Swiss Lathe

IEMCA Elite 220
The Elite Series of 12' Bar Feeders are IEMCA's latest development for feeding high performance Swiss style lathes. These units feature calibrated hydrodynamic round-section guide channels and mechanical synchronization, designed for the highest standards of performance with bar rotation speeds up to 20,000 RPM, and headstock synchronization in excess of 1.5G acceleration.
Two models of Elite bar feeders cover material ranges of 1 mm to 12 mm (Elite 112), or 2 mm to 20 mm (Elite 220). Both models are magazine style bar feeders, equipped with "Walking Beam" magazines for the tangle free loading of small diameter bar, and make use of a double pusher design which minimizes the overall machine footprint. The Elite 220 has the added feature of a second gravity feed magazine for handling larger diameter bars.
The design of the Elite Series snap in of the guide channels also provide for very quick changeovers from one material diameter to another.
