As the technology landscape for the factory of the future continues to evolve, manufacturers looking to improve plant floor operations will find the latest advancements in mobile technologies and solutions at Industrial Automation North America 2014 global trade show and conference, according to a spokesperson. Industrial Automation NA is co-located with the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) at Chicago's McCormick Place from September 8-13, 2014. During the show, exhibitors from around the world will showcase mobile innovations for visualization, analysis of data, process control and field communications to fully integrate machinery across the entire plant.
"Mobility is one of the hottest topics in industrial automation today," said Larry Turner, CEO of Hannover Fairs USA, the organizer of Industrial Automation NA. "The new era of mobility is delivering the promise of greater productivity, and we are eager to present the latest devices and solutions for enhancing plant floor connectivity at the show. I expect this year's trade show and conference will drive manufacturers to adopt more of these solutions."
Mobile device and solution providers exhibiting at Industrial Automation NA 2014 include Industrial Andons, NEXCOM International, Red Lion Controls, Rockwell Automation and Sercos International.
Commenting on the decision to return to Industrial Automation NA 2014, Bob Wilson, Principal of Industrial Andons, LLC (Booth E-4447), said, "We will be launching a series of mobile devices for collecting, recording and responding to data from the plant floor, such as smart phones and mini tablets for work areas that do not have a computer or other automation intelligence. Because Industrial Automation NA is a primary marketing event for us, we chose to expand our booth this year to offer a larger, more open layout for our customers and visitors. We have a great space and invite attendees to visit us to preview our mobile devices and discuss our multipronged approach for connecting workstations across the plant floor."
Industrial Automation NA also will feature discussions about how to implement mobility to enhance productivity across manufacturing processes during its Global Automation and Manufacturing Summit. Industry experts will offer insights into how to utilize the latest mobile devices to deliver greater productivity by channeling information in a timely fashion and across a secure environment.
Remarking on Red Lion Controls' (Booth E-4531) decision to exhibit at Industrial Automation NA 2014, Paul Bunnell, Product Director for Process Automation, said, "This event is very important to Red Lion's overall mission to be the global experts in communication, monitoring and control for industrial automation and networking. We will feature a comprehensive set of products that help customers connect, monitor and control anything on the plant floor - from one device to a thousand devices. Our cellular products work with many different network types and a variety of protocol conversion devices. Regardless of whether attendees have a single machine or multiple sites across the globe, we invite them to stop by our booth to see how state-of-the-art factory floor connectivity can drive productivity."
